When Brittany Arnold first reached out, she had one clear goal: update her website. But if you know anything about how brand photography actually works, you know that a well-planned session never stops at just one goal… And Brittany's shoot is one of the best examples I've seen of a business owner running with her gallery and using it in every single way possible.
Brittany is the owner of Vitality Physical Therapy & Wellness, a mobile and virtual PT practice serving the Peoria, Illinois area and surrounding communities. She also has a dedicated space inside a recovery spa in Morton, Illinois, so her clients get the best of both worlds: the flexibility of having Brittany come to them, and access to a professional clinical setting when they want it.
She came in ready. She had a vision. And what we created together has fueled her marketing for months.
Meet Brittany of Vitality Physical Therapy & Wellness
Brittany's specialty is working with postpartum moms, helping women navigate pelvic floor recovery and the physical demands of early motherhood. It's meaningful, deeply personal work. And it deserved photos that felt just as real and human as the care she provides.
She's also grown since her shoot. When we photographed together, she was building her team, celebrating a major milestone (one full year in business!), and preparing to launch new digital guides for postpartum moms. There was a lot happening, and a smart, intentional session was exactly what she needed to capture all of it at once.
The In-Home Lifestyle Session
A huge part of what makes Vitality special is the mobile model. Brittany comes to you. She shows up at your house, sets up, and provides hands-on PT care in the space where you're actually living your life. So the first thing we needed was imagery that made that feel real and accessible, not clinical or intimidating.
We set up inside a home and started with shots of Brittany on her computer, which did double duty: it represented her virtual services and gave her professional working shots for her website and social profiles. From there, we transitioned to the treatment table to capture the in-home session experience.
Then we brought in a real client, a mama, and everything came alive.
We photographed Brittany guiding her through different movements and exercises, and we made a very intentional decision to keep the kids in the background. Not hidden, not edited out. In the background, playing and doing their thing. Because that is the reality of what Brittany's clients experience, and it's exactly what makes Vitality different. You don't have to have a perfect house. You don't have to find childcare. She comes to you, and life can keep going around you.
That message would never land as clearly in words as it does in a photo.
Celebrating One Year in Business
Brittany hit her one-year business anniversary around the time of her shoot, and we absolutely captured it. Confetti, celebration, the whole thing. These photos gave her announcement content that felt genuine and joyful, not staged or corporate. They also serve as evergreen milestone content she can continue to repurpose.
Introducing the Team
Since her session, Brittany has grown Vitality beyond just herself. Trisha, one of her physical therapists, is now part of the practice, and we made sure to capture that. We did individual shots of each of them, plus team shots together, so Brittany has imagery that communicates she's not a one-woman show anymore. That's a powerful signal to potential clients: this practice has depth, capacity, and support.
Digital Guide Launch Content
One of the most exciting parts of this session was planning content specifically around Brittany's upcoming digital guides for postpartum moms. We styled and shot mock-up images and detail shots she could use directly inside the guide itself, and in all the promotional content around the launch. Planning your photo session around a product or service launch is one of the highest-ROI moves a business owner can make, and Brittany nailed it.
The Clinical Space at the Morton Recovery Spa
We also headed over to the recovery spa in Morton to capture Brittany's room and her access to the gym space there. This is where clients can come to her, and they needed to be able to see it before they ever walked through the door.
We photographed her room setup, cupping therapy shots, and a full session with another client working through exercises on the gym equipment. Brittany guiding, correcting, encouraging. All of it. The kind of images that make someone go that's exactly what I need before they even finish reading the caption.
How Brittany Has Used Her Gallery
This is the part I love to talk about, because Brittany is a masterclass in actually using her brand photos.
After her session, she didn't just swap out her website header and call it done. She has used this gallery across every marketing touchpoint her business has:
- Website: Updated homepage, service pages, and team page
- Social media: Profile photos, carousels, standard posts, and Reel covers. She's been posting consistently ever since.
- Product launch: The digital guide launch was anchored entirely by the styled mock-up images from our shoot
- Inside the digital guide itself: Her photos live inside the resource she sells
- Printed business cards: Physical marketing that looks polished and cohesive because the images were shot at professional resolution
- Google Business Profile: Updated with current, professional imagery. One of the most overlooked local SEO touchpoints, and one that directly affects whether people in Peoria and Morton find her when they're searching.
